You want to talk about a nightmare start? 22-1. Best team all year by a country mile. Don’t think I’ve had a worse day all year. Hockey Guy Trey is back for the Finals but we officially have some work to do after day one. What could go wrong did go wrong.

Shame on me for rewarding Dylan Larkin with a spot on the team. Guy has core muscle surgery on the literal start of the finals and I’m forced to replace him with Matt Boldy who is a young player that might do nothing. Hate wasting a roster move on nonsense.

Carolina is set to play the Coyotes. Yes, the worst team in the league. Think I have a great matchup. Carolina scores five goals and I get ONE total point out of it. An Aho goal. Nothing for Teravainen. Nothing from DeAngelo. Garbage.

Vegas lost to Jersey in a must win game. It didn’t even feel real. A lifeless Jersey team with no goal tending and no Jack Hughes beat Vegas. The Knights were even at home and still lost. I got NOTHING from three of them. If it weren’t for a last second Pacioretty assist, it would have been a total disaster.

Jake Oettinger gets pulled putting the icing on the cake. Goalies mean everything and my guy didn’t make it out of the second period. It couldn’t get worse. Dallas Stars have to win these games and they pull the guy for Scott Wedgewood?

Nothing made sense about last night. I would have been better off with a shit team of Max Domi and Nino Niederreiter instead. I guess that’s fantasy for you. We’re down 16 but have plenty of time to catch up. The Finals end next Friday.
