Hockey Guy Trey Goes For Fantasy Glory: S2 Day 11,12,13,14
The Semi-Finals are over. Hockey Guy Trey is advancing to the Finals after a 489.7-402.2 win. It’s officially time for the Irish to start worrying. The match up with Gavin is finally here. This is what we have been waiting for all year.
Heading into the Finals, the roster was shaken up a bit. Patrik Laine was dropped for Drake Batherson. I can’t really explain it. I just had a bad feeling about Laine heading into the Finals. Six hours later, guy gets hurt and was ruled out for the Sunday game which would have been crippling to not replace him in time for the Finals. Luckily, I’m seeing the board and the unforeseen cheese can’t even stop me.
Batherson makes his first appearance on the team. I liked the matchups this upcoming week for the Senators. He’s on the roster until David Pastrnak returns. IF he returns.
Max Pacioretty also makes the team. We hope he’s healthy now. We also hope Pete DeBoer wises up and skates him top line with Mark Stone and Jack Eichel because thus far he has not started a single game with that unit. Vegas has something to play for so keeping Pacioretty felt like the smart thing to do.
Dylan Larkin also makes the team. Look, guy has been playing well since Gavin dropped him. Larkin has earned this spot and we hope he can play well when it really counts.
That’s the roster we’re going with for the Finals. Obviously, based on the rules, the goalies will be tinkered with but that’s just the nature of the game. We anticipate that coming sooner rather than later unfortunately as we wait for the MRI results of Freddie Andersen. If Anderson isn’t healthy, Hughes will be removed from IR and another goalie will be picked up.
It’s going to be fun. I’m coming in hot. We’re seeing the board. This is about respect. Get ready to hear me scream a lot this week.
