Hendon Hooker Signs NIL deal with French’s Mustard

One of the best college football players this season is Tennessee Volunteers’ quarterback Hendon Hooker and he just signed one of the best NIL deals on Friday with French’s Mustard.

The story of the French’s Mustard and Tennessee goes back a year ago when Volunteer fans threw mustard bottles on the field after some terrible calls in a game against Ole Miss. The call that infuriated Volunteer fans was when a Tennessee tight end was ruled short on fourth down with less than a minute left in a game Tennessee lost 31-26.

A year later Tennessee and French’s Mustard have another relationship as the brand announced that Hooker would be their first player signed to a NIL deal. 

As announced on Friday by Front Office Sports in a Tweet, Hooker has not only signed a deal with French’s but also got a pretty sick pair of Nike Air Force 1’s.

Last year, a bottle of mustard went viral after one Tennessee fan launched it onto the field during the UT-Ole Miss game.

Hooker has taken college football by storm this year by leading Tennessee to an 8-0 start and the #1 ranked team in the first College Football Playoff rankings. The Heisman front-runner has thrown for 2,338 yards, 21 touchdowns, and only one interception.

On Saturday he will play in the biggest game of his career against AP poll #1 and CFP #3 Georgia Bulldogs. With a win, Hooker and Tennessee will become the clear leader of the SEC East and have a great chance at making it to their first-ever College Football Playoff appearance.
