Shams Charania might have rizz but is he a great journalist? It doesn’t matter how badly Kay Adams wants to stick a finger in Shams’ butt. Hawks CEO Steve Koonin thinks Shams is a hack and wants to expose him to the world for being a fraud. Does Koonin have any point here?
The Chinese farmer always says maybe. Earlier today a report surfaced that Nate McMillan was considering resigning from his post with the Hawks. That report pissed some people off within the Hawks organization. So much so that Koonin attacked Shams in a way that I can’t quite remember ever being done before.
“trash journalism… This is made-up stuff. I am literally calling Shams out. It is just hack journalism. Hack.”
I guess I should say this isn’t the first time that Shams has faced heavy criticism. Jimmy Butler’s agent hates him too.
In regards to McMillan, it seems pretty obvious that there is some turmoil between him and Trae Young. Is it so bad to the point where McMillan is just going to flat out quit from his position? That’s where Koonin maybe has every right to question the reporting here. If the Hawks aren’t considering firing McMillan, then maybe Koonin has a point.
Time will tell what happens here. The truth of the matter is the Hawks stink and star players usually get their way. If Trae Young wants McMillan out then that’s probably what’s going to happen. The Hawks will likely fold to their star player in hopes that the looming trade request never comes to fruition.
