Gregg Giannotti rips a caller on his radio show Boomer and Gio on WFAN. Funhouse tweeted the clip.
“Do you have any idea what goes on with my life outside of this show Colleen, any idea?. The answer is no, okay so if you don’t know what is going on in my life outside of this show, how can you make an assumption that I don’t have “real life issues” with real stress”
“If you don’t like it, you don’t have to listen, you don’t have to call me up and say “you don’t have any stress” You don’t know a damn thing about me and I don’t know a damn thing about you”
Gregg Giannotti on WFAN
Giannotti, who goes by Gio, has a point here. I get that because he is a public figure and co-hosts a daily radio show with Boomer Esiason his life might appear great to others, but everyone has real-life shit to deal with day in and day out.
Gio replaced Craig Carton on the daily morning show at WFAN after Carton got arrested and sentenced to jail, and Gio hasn’t been the most liked co-host at WFAN but that is in part to do with him replacing a New York radio legend.
Colleen, the caller who caused this rant said she wanted to hear more sports talk from the morning show and Gio’s rant was not done quite yet.
“We talk about sports lots of times, we open up the show about sports… So sorry you’re not getting exactly what you need Colleen”
“By the way, it’s not because guess what, if we sat here and did four hours of boring-ass sports radio nobody would be listening. Maybe Colleen would be happy if we broke down the dunk contest for four hours. WE A’INT DOING IT, WE’RE NOT”
Gio
Good for Gio man, I can tell this was a lot of built up stress and he just took it all out on Colleen.
