Garrett Greene is next up on the to do list for the 2025 NFL Draft profile series. I’m probably going to end up typing 300 of these so sorry in advance if I cheese my way through the intro paragraph. Nobody gives a you know what about them anyway. K… here is your draft profile on the West Virginia product.

This is the thing on Garrett Greene. We can break down his quarterback play all day but it’s kinda irrelevant to do so. It’s really not meant to be rude. It has everything to do with the fact that he’s already come out and said he’s switching positions at the next level and is going to try to be a wide receiver. His words, not mine.

Also, not to be weird about this but incredibly strange that his Twitter bio is just the picture of a cross. Not that I’m here to push an anti-religion narrative but it sure comes across as strange. People can believe in whatever they want but his social media profile sure seems odd.

In case you are curious about the pure thrower numbers, it’s 5,370 passing yards, 36 touchdown passes and 19 interceptions over the last two years as a starter. Greene is also much more of a run around guy who posted 2,136 career rushing yards and 28 touchdowns on 352 carries. Add in four receiving touchdowns when JT Daniels (who medically retired) was the starter there.

Greene is also 5-foot-11 and not nearly good enough as a passer so the position switch was necessary for him to have any prayer at making the league. The only problem is we got no Combine invite so we don’t have any real data on his raw testing numbers or any real evidence of what he looks like as a receiver.

Most of the people who run these teams are really stupid but I think we’ve come a long way since the Jaguars picked Matt Jones in the first round back in 2005. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, Google it. It’s worth the laugh.

I can’t imagine anyone is drafting Greene but if you’re into weird conversation stories, knock yourself out following this one.
