Fury vs Wilder 3: How Did We Get Here And Who Will Win?
Fury vs Wilder 3 is almost official. The bout is set for July 24th, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This announcement comes just a few days after Fury vs. Joshua was “official”.
How Did This Happen?
Well, after Fury beat Wilder in their second fight in February of 2020, there was supposed to be an automatic rematch triggered. Obviously, like the rest of the world, this fight was shut down due to the coronavirus. Once the world opened again, Wilder made plans to fight Kabayel to prepare for the rematch against Fury. Instead, Wilder decided to just push for another fight with Fury to get back the WBC belt. After nearly a year of arbitration, Deontay Wilder got his trilogy fight with Tyson Fury. The main stipulation was that Fury and Wilder would have to fight again before September 15th of 2021.
What Does This Mean For Fury vs. Joshua?
A lot could potentially change depending on the outcome of the fight in July. If Fury wins, he will no doubt fight Joshua next to try to unify the belts. If Wilder wins, who knows what will happen. Will Joshua just fight Wilder instead of Fury? Will Fury try to get a rematch against Wilder? I personally hope Fury wins so that we can see him and Anthony Joshua square off later this year.
Who Will Win Fury vs. Wilder 3?
From watching back the previous fight, I have to go with Tyson Fury. Deontay Wilder is insanely talented, but Tyson Fury is just too fast and too strong. Wilder has the power, but has lacked in his technique in recent fights, and that will prove to be a huge hurdle in the next fight. I predict that Tyson Fury will TKO Deontay Wilder inside 7 rounds.
