Frank Ocean and Bad Bunny Rumored Headliners

The famed Coachella music festival has yet to release its 2023 lineup. In fact, fans are growing impatient as the lineup is annually released on Jan. 3, which has led many speculating about the potential artists attending the festival, notably Frank Ocean and Bad Bunny.

The pair are two of the most popular circulating right now. Many believing that Ocean, the beloved RnB singer, will also be releasing his album before or right after the festival in April.

However, according to a tweet by Festive Owl, there is a delay in the announcement due to negotiations with the main headliner.

Ocean had originally been named the headliner for the 2023 music festival all the way back in August 2021 by co-founder Paul Tollett. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Tollett confirmed the news while also iterating that the early announcement was for reassuring fans after COVID-19 caused the previous headliner not to be able to perform.

This falls in line with the timeline also provided by the negotiation issues dating back to June 2022. With this report, Ocean could finally end his six-year hiatus from his sophomore album, Blonde, with a release before or after the event.

Meanwhile, Bad Bunny is also one of the top rumored artists to headline 2023 Coachella and it makes perfect sense. The Puerto Rican singer and rapper had one of his most successful years in music with his release of his fourth solo studio album, Un Verano Sin Ti. The album spent 13 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s top albums. That is the most for any album since Drake’s Views, which also notched in 13 weeks.

Although these are two of the most reasonable headliners, it is impossible to know until Coachella releases the news. Even with the confirmation of Frank Ocean back in August of 2022, if the negotiation issues are relevant, that deal might fall through.
