Former WWE star Kelly Kelly gives birth to twins

After announcing her pregnancy in March 2023, former WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly now welcomes her newborns into the world.

Between 2006 and 2012, she was one of the more prominent Divas in WWE. In 2011, she finally captured the Divas Championship but by 2012 parted ways with the promotion. Since 2017, she’s made sporadic appearances and became the first female 24/7 Champion in 2019.

In March this year, Kelly Kelly announced that she and her bodybuilder husband Joe Coba were expecting their first child. A month later, the former WWE star revealed she was actually expecting twins, and on Sept. 10, gave birth to son Jaxon Matthew and daughter Brooklyn Marie.

Kelly Kelly has notably been showered with support and congratulations throughout her pregnancy by her former WWE peers. For any fans still hoping to see the star make a return to wrestling, with the birth of her twins, this is likely even more out of the question now.

The former WWE Divas Champion spoke about the reasons behind her children’s names

In a recent interview with People Magazine, the WWE veteran explained that she and her husband Joe Coba wanted to give their children strong names. Additionally, the two newborns were also given family names and she noted that they’re both healthy and happy.

“Joe and I wanted to give our children strong names that started with the first letter of our names; J & B,” she said. “Their middle names are both passed on from my Mom and Dad, Robin Marie and Ronald Matthew. Both babies are happy, healthy and we couldn’t be more in love with our little baby bubble!”

Additionally, the former WWE star revealed that she sadly could not have a natural birth, despite preparing for one.

“During my pregnancy, I was fully committed to a natural birth. As we approached 36 weeks, I started seeing my OB every couple of days to look for evidence of natural induction. My doctor let me know that it was most probable that I needed to have a C-section,” she said. “I was determined to push both of our babies out. We waited until 38 weeks when I finally had to accept that these babies were going to come out via a scheduled C-section.”

The happy couple is clearly over the moon, and enjoying their bundles of joy. While the former WWE Divas Champion had to make some compromises, in the end, both she and her husband have two healthy babies.
