Former WWE and AEW Star Accused of Domestic Violence Arrest Video Released

Jake Atlas, former WWE and AEW wrestler, was arrested on May 23 of this year. It was reported by TMZ that he and his boyfriend got into an argument over a sexual encounter. Atlas allegedly scratched his boyfriend after the two got into an argument. A witness even told the police that Atlas became very aggressive following his night of drinking.

Following the arrest, Atlas received a misdemeanor domestic battery charge. About a month after his arrest, the domestic violence case was dropped. According to court documents, officials chose not to prosecute Atlas, stating, “From the investigation which has been made, it is the opinion of the writer that this case is not suitable for prosecution.” Recently, the arrest video has been released. Atlas was recorded telling the police officers that he was an “international trained superstar” and went on to take some shots at his boyfriend saying he was “terrible at sex.”

Atlas was last seen wrestling for AEW in January. He suffered a knee injury in his debut match for AEW and hasn’t wrestled since. Back in January, Tony Khan, CEO of AEW, tweeted out that Atlas was an official member of the roster, prior to the arrest. It was questioned whether or not Atlas was still on the roster in AEW, but Sean Ross Sapp reported that Atlas was on a “per appearance deal” with the company. AEW never commented on whether Atlas was still a wrestler with the organization, but Sapp also reported that Atlas “hasn’t technically been with the company in months.” Jake Atlas has not wrestled since he got hurt in January and his future with AEW and beyond is unknown.
