WWE has been holding tryouts throughout the year to see who has what it takes to make it in the company. Recently, WWE has been looking more into college athletes as potential superstars. This is likely because a good number of their current superstars were former college athletes. WWE has even started signing some college athletes to NIL deals. But that doesn’t mean that they aren’t looking to sign some current wrestlers. WWE held tryouts at the IMG Academy for two days and will continue to hold tryouts at the performance center throughout the week. But some notable names reportedly showed up at the performance center to try out.
As reported by PWInsider, former ROH stars Vincent and Dutch of the Righteous are reportedly trying out for WWE. Vincent and Dutch worked for ROH for a couple of years before getting released from the company, along with almost the entire roster. They are former ROH Six Man Tag Team Champions and have been hitting the independent circuit since getting released. As a team, Vincent and Dutch have wrestled in NEW Wrestling, Outlaw Wrestling, and Beyond Wrestling this year. Furthermore, Vincent and Dutch were seen in attendance at the NXT show on December 6th. According to PWInsider, their being in attendance was reportedly because they are trying out for WWE.
According to PWInsider, some more interesting names are trying out for WWE. Kylie Rae and KC Navarro are reportedly trying out for WWE as well. Kylie Rae has wrestled for CZW, GCW, Impact, NWA, and NJPW throughout her career. KC Navarro is a young prospect who has been hitting the independent circuit. Navarro has wrestled in CZW, Impact, Beyond, MLW, and even AEW.
