The Texas A&M Aggies add another five-star to their class in OL Lamont Rogers. Rogers has flipped his commitment from Missouri, which he chose earlier in the summer, to become an Aggie. He made his decision to stay in the state of Texas to play college football publicly with a post on social media. Lamont Rogers is the No. 27 prospect nationally and the No. 6 offensive tackle in the 2025 class according to 247 Sports.
The 6’6 300 pound OL had always been connected with Texas A&M. The Aggies were among his top choices as well as Missouri, Texas, and Oklahoma. Rogers went on multiple visits to Texas A&M including a week six visit for the game against Missouri. The Aggies defeated the Tigers in a 41-10 blowout. This could have had an impact on Rogers’ decision to flip his commitment.
Adam Cushing, who is the Aggies offensive line coach, had multiple meetings with Rodgers. These meetings went well given that in the end, Rogers signed with Texas A&M. Furthermore, Lamont Rogers had some good things to say about Cushing when speaking to Gigem247.
“He’s a great teacher. He breaks it down in so many ways that anybody can understand. So that’s what I like about them.” – Lamont Rogers.
Texas A&M has a top-ten recruiting class and they now have two five star commits. Lamont Rogers will join wr Jerome Myles as the splash signings of this class. Head Coach Mike Elko had a respectable first year with the Aggies after an 8-4 regular season. There were some big wins but too many close losses. The 2025 season will be looking up for the Aggies with it being Elko’s second year and recruits like Lamont Rogers joining the team.
