Class of 2022 five-star wing Chris Livingston committed to Kentucky today, per an announcement on the SportsCenter Twitter. Livingston chose the Wildcats and John Calipari over Georgetown and Tennessee State. The 6-6 small forward is going to play his senior year at Oak Hill Academy.
The Akron, Ohio native is going to join fellow five-stars Shaedon Sharpe (No. 1 in ESPN 100) and Skyy Clark (No. 16) in Lexington next season. Livingston ranks 12th on ESPN and 6th in the 247Sports Composite. A natural slasher-style wing, he likes to get downhill and finish at the rim. He has the tools to be a great two-way player for Calipari and the Wildcats.
Livingston told ESPN this regarding his decision to join Kentucky’s No. 1 class:
“The history of the school and the basketball program attracted me. What coach Cal has done with past players has been impressive. He is a down-to-Earth guy. For a coaching legend, he is easy to talk to. I like how he stays connected with his former players.”

“They [fans] have crazy love for their program. They have the strongest fans in college basketball. Since I cut my list down, the amount of tagging on social media has shown me love.”

Livingston’s commitment surely won’t be the last for the Wildcats’ ’22 recruiting cycle, with Calipari and company talking with frontcourt prospects Dereck Lively and Adem Bona, as well as five-star Cason Wallace.
