First Look at Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in Deadpool 3

Deadpool is one of the best superhero franchises in the film industry right now. The first Deadpool movie was released in 2016 and it added some spice to the superhero movie landscape. Deadpool (2016) was a rated-R film that turned up the gore, comedy and vulgarity to ten.

This formula appeared to work for fans as the movie did fantastic at the box office. The sequel came out in 2018 and now the franchise is set for a third movie in 2024. However, it was announced earlier this week that another beloved character will be joining the film as Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will be in Deadpool 3.

Deadpool is played by actor Ryan Reynolds who brings the right amount of comedy, insanity and style to the comic book character. Wade Wilson in the comics is known as the “merc with the mouth.” Reynolds brilliantly brings Deadpool to life on screen with his mix of charisma and brutality; the Deadpool films do a great job of portraying Wilson as a top-tier mercenary with an untouchable talent for savage and creative kills. 

Now, Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman, from the X-Men Universe, will be joining the Deadpool franchise. Jackman in his own right has done a terrific job at portraying Wolverine. He has been in numerous X-Men movies as well as a stand-alone film in Logan (2019) which was his last appearance as the character.

The fact that these two characters will be on screen together in the upcoming Deadpool 3 is amazing for fans. These are two beloved characters and two phenomenal actors. Finally, Deadpool 3 is a highly anticipated film as fans do not want to miss the chance to see Deadpool and Wolverine on the big screen together.

There is still a bit of time before the film comes out, as I mentioned earlier the release date is set for May of 2024. The plot of the film has Deadpool and Wolverine crossing paths to take out a common foe. There is not much else information out there regarding the plot. However, if one thing is certain these two characters will provide a lot of laughs and a lot of terrific action sequences.

Shawn Levy is set to direct the third movie in the franchise and his first time as the director of a Deadpool film. Reynolds has made it clear that he will not let the character of Deadpool be besmirched the way he was in films before the original Deadpool in 2016.
