Watch: First Look At Final Fantasy VII Remake: Rebirth On PS5

A trailer dropped for a first look at the new Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and it is the sequel to the Final Fantasy VII Remake.

This new Final Fantasy VII Remake series is an action role-playing game based on the original Final Fantasy 7 game released on PlayStation in 1997. The 2020 remake stays very close to the source material, but it has upgraded visuals, graphics, and a new battle system. The Final Fantasy Remake received a lot of praise from fans and critics for its vast improvements and fantastic storytelling. 

The new trailer for Rebirth displays the continuation of the story from the first game with its core characters walking through beautifully crafted settings. Cloud and Sephiroth can be seen struggling to walk through the dusty and arid terrain as an emotional voice-over plays. This trailer creates excitement for Final Fantasy fans as Final Fantasy Rebirth will be the second game in a bigger three-game saga.

This news was revealed on June 16 during a special Final Fantasy VII 25th anniversary stream. The cinematic trailer ended with a clear message that the release date for the game would be in the winter of 2023. Fans and gamers can build their excitement for a new installment in the franchise as it will be released next winter on PS5.
