Fall Weddings: Fair Or Foul?

Fall weddings. Are they fair or foul? There is one clear answer here and it’s really not up for discussion. (247 Sports)

Fall Weddings: Fair Or Foul?

Are you a bad person? Then stop scheduling your wedding in the Fall. Well, maybe there is a catch to that equation. If you’re not blind, you will notice this post’s cover image. Yes, that’s Josh Pate who’ve established is becoming one of the kings in terms of college football media coverage. Fall weddings are foul ball all day with a few exceptions.

If you want your wedding in the Fall, schedule it on a Friday. It’s not that hard. Guess what? Your friends will happily take off work that day rather than contemplate if they want to skip out on a college football Saturday.

Are you a bad person if you schedule your wedding in the Fall? I’d argue yes. Have you seen the divorce rate in this country? Odds are your marriage will be history soon anyway. I only get one chance to see that slate of games. 50% or marriages end up in divorce. The rest do the right thing and get married in the Spring.

Furthermore, don’t expect me to show up. It’s just not happening. Do I ask you to attend my wedding while you do your job? I’m the best NFL Draft analyst on the planet so don’t you think it’s a little ignorant to invite me to a wedding while I’m doing my job? My job includes working on a Saturday. Sorry for being cool enough to where my work includes sitting on the couch. Odds are I don’t want to attend anyway. Scheduling it on a Saturday in the Fall just confirms I won’t be there.

Riddle me this. If you’re a man and you agree to a Fall wedding, where does it end? Did she find a way to cut off both of your balls while you agreed to do this? Where do you draw the line in the sand? What’s next you sign up for Yoga classes on Sundays during NFL season? Where does it stop? Slippery slope if you ask me. Five years down the line you’re getting pegged crying yourself to sleep ending up in a divorce. Fall weddings off the table. Well, just on Saturdays anyway. Go ahead and plan that Friday if so.

If she wants a Fall wedding on a Saturday, she isn’t the one, bro.
