Tight end Evan Engram and the Jacksonville Jaguars reached an agreement on a franchise deal Sunday afternoon prior to Monday’s 4 p.m. EST deadline.
Franchise TE Evan Engram and the Jaguars reached agreement on a three-year contract prior to Monday’s 4 pm ET deadline for a long-term deal, per his agent @MikeMcCartney7.

The deal is worth three-years, $41.25 million that includes $24 million fully guaranteed, the sixth-highest guarantee (at signing) for tight ends in the NFL, per Spotrac. NFL.com insiders Ian Rapaport and Tom Pelissero were the first to report the contract details.
Engram was originally placed on the franchise tag by the Jaguars in March, but he was yet to sign his $11.34 million franchise tag tender. The two sides have finally reached an agreement, and now Trevor Lawrence retains one of his favorite targets for three more years. He rounds out a formidable skill position unit that includes wideouts Calvin Ridley, Christian Kirk and Zay Jones with running back Travis Etienne.

The former New York Giants first-round pick is a versatile tight end with top-end speed, and may have had the best year of his career in Duval County last year.
Engram caught a career-high 74 passes for 766 yards, also a career-high, with four receiving touchdowns. He was top five in targets, receptions and receiving yards in 2022 out of all tight ends, and set a franchise record for receptions and receiving yards by a tight end in a single season.
Engram bet on himself on a one-year, $9 million deal before the 2022 season and proved to be worthy of a hefty extension. In six seasons with the Jaguars and Giants, the 6-foot-3, 240-pound pass catcher has caught 335 passes for 3,594 yards and 20 touchdowns.
