Endrick, the Brazilian teenage sensation, is going to Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants have agreed with his current club Palmeiras to send the 16-year-old to Madrid in 2024. According to reports, the sum of the deal will amount to €72 million. Upon turning 18, Endrick will be under Madrid control until 2030. The electrifying youngster will join the likes of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo as the latest teen switching Brazil for the Bernabeu.
While fans will have to wait, it is very possible that Los Blancos have secured the long-term replacement for Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema upon the end of next season. That is, of course, if they don’t swoop in for either Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland.
Regardless, the move fortifies Madrid as one of the global superpowers when it comes to acquiring and developing elite young talent. Furthermore, it is a statement of intent and dominance from Real. They have once again gotten a major move for the future sorted out before the January window has even opened.
The relationship between Real Madrid and Brazil continues to thicken after this move.
Only days ago, rumors were swirling after Brazil’s exit in the World Cup that the Selecao would seek Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti for the now-vacant position.
Speaking of the World Cup, it is possible that Real doesn’t have any winners return from Qatar. If France wins, then both Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga will be victorious. If Argentina wins, however, then Los Blancos will be empty-handed. In any event, the third-place and final games should be excellent following a great semi-final round.
Soccer fans around the globe better be ready for club teams to return after one of the most thrilling World Cup tournaments in recent memory.
