Elton Brand Will Not Let Magic Johnson Anywhere Near Ben Simmons

Ben Simmons came out recently and said that he wanted to have a meeting with Magic Johnson. The apparent reason for this meeting was to learn the tricks of the trade a a bigger point guard. Simmons is a 6-foot-10 point guard who can’t shoot a lick. Magic Johnson wasn’t much different as a 6-foot-9 point guard himself. Both were amazing passers so Simmons really has nothing to lose, right?

Wrong, wrong, and wrong again. Elton Brand, the 76ers general manager, wants zero part of this meeting. In fact, Brand has banned it from ever taking place. Brand had this to say during an interview with Philadelphia radio station 975 The Fanatic:

"Rob Pelinka called me and said that Ben (Simmons) wanted to talk to Hall of Famers after the season, Magic was on the list. He asked for authorization… I said no. This was over a month ago." – Elton Brand shooting down the Ben/Magic meeting 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I mean no chance Brand was ever going to let this happen. The entire league knows the shit that Klutch Sports and the Lakers are pulling to try to land Anthony Davis. The tampering is rampant. No other way to put it. You think Brand was going to grant permission to a meeting with Ben Simmons and Magic Johnson? No chance.

Imagine the sales pitch Magic would plan for that one. Kendall Jenner might even run the meeting. You already know she would risk it all to get Simmons in her home town of LA. Those cross country flights probably get tiring for Kendall. She just wants Ben Ben in her wrath.
