Sean Payton might be drinking too much of his own Kool-Aid. What the hell does he think he’s signing up for? Payton was introduced as the new Broncos head coach and he had quite the laundry list of things to say.
Exhibit A:
“I think it’s realistic for our fan base to expect a completely different type of culture,” Payton said when asked about the team’s chances of competing in 2023, according to Zac Stevens of DNVR. “It’s realistic for them to expect us to win.”
Win? At what level? Are we talking about 8 wins? Sure, maybe that’s on the table. Winning any games that matter? For sure not. Go head, Payton. Take your receipts. I now think you’re an egotistical loser that only took this job so you can cream yourself over the thought of your own brilliance. Sad move. One that will backfire and make you look dumb in the end. That’s the difference between me and you. I know I can’t win by myself. Obviously, you do. Enjoy being in the same division as Patrick Mahomes forever.
Exhibit B:
“Obviously, it wasn’t the type of season he wanted to have,” Payton said, according to Andrew Mason of Denver Sports. “I do feel like the last couple of weeks, we saw more of what we were expecting and accustomed to.”
You signed up for the 34-year-old version of the let’s ride guy. Have fun with this. You’re worked your whole life to master coaching and signed up for this. Only a desperate moron does what you did, Sean.
