The Eagles are unsure about Jalen Hurts and the uncertainties surrounding their quarterback situation leaves them in a weird spot for the future.
According to Rob Maaddi, a beat reporter for the Associated Press, the Eagles front office is unsure about what to do regarding the new offensive leader.
“After beating the Saints, they wanted to get rid of Carson Wentz. After the next 3 losses, they wanted to work it out with Carson”

Well, Wentz got traded to the Colts, and it seems as if the Eagles made their choice to roll out Hurts on Sundays. I don’t know what the deal is with that team honestly, I get that Wentz sucked for most of the 2020 season, but people seem to forget he was incredible as a rookie.
There are still believers in what Wentz can do, and Trey, the CEO of Vendetta thinks that he makes the Colts legit Super Bowl Contenders, but the point is at this stage of their careers Wentz is better than Hurts.
Now here comes the crazy part. The Eagles had the sixth overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft, but instead, they traded down to the 12th pick. Someone explain this to me because I might be dumb. This is clearly a quarterback-heavy draft class, so why go lower and risk your guy not being there at 12.
If the Eagles are so unsure about Jalen Hurts, try and trade up and get the third overall pick that the 49ers ended up with this week. In the most recent NFL Short, Jeremy and Trey both agreed that Hurts is not the guy for them, but then Trey turns around and defends the Eagles for getting more picks.
My question is if Hurts is not the guy, why not stay at six and draft a guy to compete with him for the spot? At 12, you are going to get a position player because all the decent quarterbacks have already been taken. Unless you think they are dumb enough to think Justin Fields will slide to the fourth round.
