Dwayne Wade has decided to join his buddy LeBron James in Cleveland. Wade, 35, was recently bought out by the Chicago Bulls and will now link up with the reigning Eastern Conference champion Cavaliers. Wade will sign a veteran minimum deal for one season with the Cavs worth $2.3 million.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN was the first to report the news:

Wade also considered the Spurs, Heat, and Thunder before deciding on the Cavs. He now joins LeBron in Cleveland where the two are close friends. Wade and James won two titles together during their time in Miami in back to back years (2012-2013).

The Cavs will need his presence early on in the season with Isaiah Thomas on the shelf until at least January. Wade will bring an instant scoring threat to Cleveland averaging 18.3 points per game last season with the Bulls. Wade helped the Bulls to the 8th seed in the East during his only season in Chicago. Wade has averaged 23.2 points per game during the course of his fourteen-year career.
