Draft Busters War Room 2024: The Chicago Bears

This is the first installment of the official Draft Busters War Room for the 2024 NFL Draft. Trey Daubert already hates our series so you know it must be somewhat good. All eyes are on the Chicago Bears and Ryan Poles, the GM of the Bears. They’ve acquired the 1st overall pick since they traded with the Panthers last year. Now, they have a chance to get one of the most generational prospects of all time in Caleb Williams. The NFC North is wide open for them to take the division crown and the NFC is the weaker conference at the moment where getting a wild card berth is a possibility too. Let’s see if Draft Busters can get this Chicago Bears team there.

The current needs for the Bears are as follows: QB (obviously), EDGE, DT, IOL, WR. However, the picks for the Bears are somewhat bleak. They have only 4 picks heading into the draft.

• Round 1: No. 1 overall (from the Carolina Panthers
• Round 1: No. 9 overall
• Round 3: No. 75
• Round 4: No. 122

While there is some controversy in this episode, Draft Busters did act in what they thought was the right thing to do for the Chicago Bears. For bonus content, we did another draft for the Bears thinking if they kept Justin Fields. The lack of picks for the Bears was glaring and trading down to get as much talent as they can to make a solid push in the NFC was vital to us at Draft Busters. The Chicago Bears War Room starts now.
