Don’t end up like Jimmy… Shoot your Shot!

What’s the sports saying!?! You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take!?! Well, Jimmy Fallon is finding out all too well just how true that statement can be. Not only did he miss a chance with Nicole Kidman but now he has to live with knowing he could have dated Kate Hudson too. Jimmy, you’d be what we’d call in Ireland a ‘Dope’. But obviously in the nicest way possible.

Back in 2015 Nicole Kidman was a guest on his show when a story surfaced about a mutual friend setting up a meeting. Jimmy seemed to think it was for a part in a movie while Nicole admitted that at the time (pre Keith Urban) she liked him. Jimmy, totally thrown by this went into a ‘wait. what!’ moment for about 30 seconds before asking “could I have dated Nicole Kidman?” It seems you could have Jimbo but instead you brought her to an apartment with no food, sneakers everywhere and proceeded to knock on a video game. Now I’m no lothario but even I know that’s NOT what you do. Kidman even admitted to thinking “Well maybe he’s gay”.

Then on Monday night’s episode, he had Kate Hudson as a guest. The two talked about working together on the 2000 Cameron Crowe classic Almost Famous and apparently Jimmy found out he had missed chance #2. Hudson brought up a 2018 episode of the Tonight Show with Margot Robbie as guest when during a segment called loaded questions Jimmy admitted he felt they could have dated after filming Almost Famous but never did.

Hudson brought this up during Monday’s recording admitting she would have indeed dated Fallon but didn’t think he was ever interested in her that way before moving on and dating Black Crowes lead singer Chris Robinson.

While Jimmy is happily married now to producer Nancy Juvonen with two kids it’s interesting to think what could have been had he been a shoot first type of player. And let it be a lesson to all you guys and gals out there… Take your shot! You most definitely won’t make 100% but then again not even Michael Jordan did that!
