BUT… the funny thing is, are we sure it’s impossible Tebow can’t have some value here? Look, the odds of Tebow even making the roster are probably slim to none. However, if by some miracle Tebow takes to the tight end position like a duck to water, he probably has the opportunity to make some noise.

Just look at the Jaguars depth chart as of right now. It’s a bunch of nobodies. The current group consists of Luke Farrell, James O’Shaughnessy, Ben Ellefson, Chris Manhertz, Tyler Davis, and Tebow. Be honest; how many names on that list do you even know?

Farrell was drafted in the 5th round this year out of Ohio State. Meyer knows him well with the Buckeye connection. Farrell had basically no college production even as a redshirt senior. In 2020, Farrell had 37 total receiving yards. I’m surprised the guy got drafted and he’s probably the favorite to win the job.

The tight end position will probably be a wasteland in Jacksonville for fantasy owners. There is no reason to roster any player here regardless of who wins the job. I just think it’s maybe important to note that if Tebow has a lick of ability, he could… somehow… actually… make this team?

Fantasy value? Definitely not. Able to make the 53 man roster? Maybe not impossible. Especially considering the other options on the roster. We can laugh at the idea of signing Tebow, but it speaks to a larger issue. The rest of the options on the roster stink.
