We already knew ESPN didn’t care about fantasy hockey. That’s been obvious given the fact that Sean Allen still works there. Somehow the bar continues to be lowered and this time it has nothing to do with Allen. I am fully well aware that it’s hard to run a media company but you won’t believe what I’m going to tell you next.
Again, I’m sure it’s not easy updating content constantly. However, at this point, if you’re ESPN shouldn’t you be above spelling people’s names wrong? I’m not saying you have to be perfect but those kinds of mistakes are completely unnecessary and ridiculous. So is getting a picture completely wrong. It’s becoming apparently obvious that ESPN not only doesn’t care about fantasy hockey but they also have no idea who Timo Meier is.
That is very much a picture of Curtis Lazar. The crazy part is I don’t even understand how you make this mistake? Yes, both of them were acquired at the deadline by New Jersey. Then again, Lazar is a nobody. Nobody owns Lazar and fantasy and he hasn’t even suited up for the Devils yet. Actually, I lied. Tonight is his debut but he’s a 4th liner that you’re not rushing to the waiver wire to go pick up. In fact, some Devils fans think he should be a permanent healthy scratch that’s only used if an injury occurs to the regulars.
This is ESPN. How can you botch fantasy hockey this bad? Like to the point where you’re not even getting player images confused. It’s embarrassing. If you want your product to improve, cut me a check and I’ll do your rankings next year. I promise you I won’t get stuff like this wrong.
