Deshaun Fenwick 2024 NFL Draft Profile

Deshaun Fenwick is next on the docket for the 2024 NFL Draft Profile series. It feels like I’ve done write-ups on 100 different running backs by now so I’m just going to get on with it and tell you what you need to know.

It’s important to note here that Damien Martinez was really the guy here (and I’m high on him for next year). Martinez is a really good back. Fenwick was the primary backup at Oregon State. Got almost zero run at South Carolina before moving on to Oregon State. Spent three years at each spot. Former three star guy coming out of high school. I just want to set expectations for what we’re talking about here.

Six year college career. When you boil it all down, Fenwick finishes his college career with 385 carries, 2,039 yards (5.3 YPC), and 18 touchdowns. 6-foot-2, 222 frame. Oregon State is really good at producing big backs like this. He kinda looks like Steven Jackson Lite. Has no real passing game work to speak of but I think he can be an effective inside the tackles runner.

Guy is getting no respect right now. Didn’t even bother getting a Combine invite. I would have liked to see him workout.

Look, he’s probably not going to get drafted but I’m just pointing out that this is someone that I think can make a roster. Has a D’Onte Foreman feel to him. Think he has a chance. Just a name to watch. Running backs always come out of nowhere late in camp and this could be one of them.
