Draft Derrick Henry In Fantasy

Derrick Henry is the best pure running back in all of the NFL. Coming off a historic season where he became the 8th player in NFL history to rush for 2,000 yards. The consensus number one pick for everyone this year in fantasy is Christian McCaffrey. Especially in PPR are leagues where he will be a fantasy beast because of his 2019 season where he had over 1,000 rushing and 1,000 receiving yards. McCaffrey last year is concerning for me as he only appeared in three games for the Carolina Panthers. Derrick Henry is a workhorse who will get all the carries for the Tennessee Titans. With the addition of Julio Jones and the emergence of A.J. Brown, some are worried if his production will fall off. The Tennesse offense will still go through Derrick Henry every week. They go as he goes.

Derrick Henry is a Mammoth of a man standing 6’3 250 pounds at the running back position. The NFL has never seen a running back of his stature with the combination of power and speed. Henry is a workout king who prides himself on his body with outrageous workouts the common man cannot perform. His strength helps with his patent stiff arms that seem to go viral every week.

Derrick Henry will have another outstanding year in 2021 as he has only gotten better every season he’s played. He is extremely reliable has he has played in at least 15 games during his 5 years. Ryan Tannehill can contribute his success to “King Henry” because of his ability to use play-action. Defenses fear so much of Henry taking it to the house on any given play. Now, with Julio Jones on the roster expect even more running lanes to be opened up for the running back. Derrick gets all goal line carries with his physical frame. I expect at least 15 rushing touchdowns and at least 1,500 yards. Which could be even more based on what we saw last year. Take Derrick Henry with the first overall pick or if he falls to you. His volume, durability, and skill make him the safest pick in fantasy football.
