Deebo Samuel is spending his offseason trying to thirst trap his head coach. Yes, you read that right.
We know how it goes this time of year. Everybody is in the best shape of their life and they want you to know they have been working hard in preparation for the season. Deebo Samuel is really trying to prove that he’s more than just talk. Deebo has been sending Kyle Shanahan way too many shirtless pics to prove he’s in the best shape of his life.
“Never had a grown man send me so many pictures with his shirt off,” Shanahan said. “But it looks good.”

Shanahan believes Deebo can return to his 2021 form, and he's seen the proof pic.twitter.com/Qx1WOQXvuY
Weird move but I respect it. Shirtless pics may be frowned upon but sometimes you just gotta show your coach that you have been putting in the work.
OG readers of this site know by now that I have been pumping Deebo’s tires for years. I thought he was the best receiver in that 2019 NFL Draft, which was a rare opinion at the time for someone that went behind N’Keal Harry in that class. Scout Trey had that entire wide receiver draft locked down and was more accurate than anybody else on the internet. You can look for yourself.
It might be time to buy Deebo Samuel fantasy stock heading into 2023. If Deebo gets back to the 2021 numbers where he posted 1,775 all-purpose yards and 14 touchdowns, he’s a total bargain where he’s being ranked right now in fantasy. If the former South Carolina product is gearing up and in incredible shape, you may want to think about drafting him in fantasy.
