Davis Bertans has re-signed with the Wizards. Here are Davis Bertans stats from last year with Washington Wizards: 15.4 PPG on 43.4% shooting which includes shooting 42.4% from 3. This is has been a career-best year from Bertans. After playing in a different scenery with the Wizards that allows him to score more, he has almost doubled his PPG total from the year before to this year.
Adrian Wojnarowski was the first to report the news:
The Wizards re-signed him because he is one of the best shooters on the market. He and Joe Harris have had a competitive market with the transition to a shooters league today in the NBA. Davis Bertans has now doubled his salary after his career year. It was expected for him to get paid this offseason, but the Washington Wizards seem to have to offer more to retain him. The Washington Wizards will now have John Wall coming back from injury, Bradley Beal, Davis Bertans, Deni Avdija, and Rui Hachimura as their starting 5. As the Wizards almost made the playoffs last year without John Wall, they surely will this year with Wall and rookie Deni Avdija.
John Wall has requested a trade, however. So, whatever the assets the Wizards get for him if Washington decides to trade him should still keep them in the playoffs.
