Davis Bertans Is The Best Sharpshooter In The NBA

Davis Bertans was already a sharpshooter last year but was very under the radar. That seems to happen when you play for the Spurs. After being traded to the Wizards in the offseason to make room on the Spurs cap room (I still hate Marcus Morris), he has shined for the Washington Wizards. Now, he’s one of the best 3 point shooters in the league.

Davis Bertans has almost doubled his point total from last year. He went to 8 PPG to 15.4 PPG on 43.4% shooting. He has also improved his rebounding and assists numbers from last year. Bertans is averaging 1.7 APG and 4.9 RPG in 30 minutes per game. He’s second in scoring for the Washington Wizards behind Bradley Beal. Even though he’s only started very few games this year. He has almost made 4 3s a game. All in about 30 minutes.

Davis Bertans is only in his 4th season in the NBA and has improved every year. He is already one of the best shooters in the league and he should only improve as time goes on. The Wizards aren’t good right now. However, when Bradley Beal and John Wall play next year, they should be a borderline playoff team. Especially if they get a lottery pick and pick a good player. They need a promising Center also for their success but that will be in the future. They plan to re-sign Davis Bertans this offseason. However, Davis Bertans has been one of the most coveted players around the trade deadline. Bertans should be the 3rd scoring option. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is a 20 point scorer next year. I love rooting for old Spurs players, he’ll do nicely in Washington. In fact, he will be one of the key players crucial to the Washington Wizards’ success.
