Dan Snyder is a total clown

July of 2023. To many of us, it’s a random month with no value. But to any Washington Commander fan, it was arguably the most significant day in your franchise’s history. Not counting the Super Bowl wins. That’s because it’s when Dan Snyder officially sold the Washington Commanders after buying them in 1999.

To call his time in Washington a disappointment would be a vast understatement. Countless cases of sexual assault involving women within the organization, the racist emails between Jon Gruden and then owner Bruce Allen. But of course, we can never forget the changing of their team name despite Native American groups having no issue with it.

On top of all this, there was never really any winning during all this. There was some hope when Robert Griffin III was drafted but we all know that went already. But none of this is why I’m writing this article. You already know how much of an idiot Dan Snyder is, but what he’s most recently said amazed me.

Recently, Dan Snyder attended a dinner in London with his associates. Pretty soon into the dinner, the topic of the Commanders came up and the improvements they made in such a short time. It’s weird how that happened almost the second Snyder left, huh?

Now, most humans would be happy to see the team they used to own succeeding on a level like the Commanders are. But sadly, Dan Snyder gave a response that was pretty on-brand for him.

Could this guy be any more unlikeable? As an Eagles fan, my dad and I used to joke that the best thing to happen to the NFC East was Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder. At least we still have Jerry making bad decisions for us.

So, in a way, it has been sad not seeing Dan with Washington anymore. I enjoyed seeing him run his team into the ground every single year while more claims of sexual assault would arise.

Dan Snyder gets rewarded for bad behavior

Nobody is saying he needed to throw some parade celebrating the team’s success this year. But the comments he made screams a bitter old man who can’t accept that he was the problem. Who knows, maybe a few more years in London will give Dan the clarity he needs to recognize the tool he has been.

It’s almost ironic in a way. Dan Snyder is in a position right now where all he wants to do is see the Commanders lose. However, the best way to do that would be for Dan Snyder to own the team again. He was a cancer that spread across the organization over time.
