Cris Carter is the notorious “gotta have a fall guy” guy. It looks like Carter forgot his once wise words. The former Minnesota Vikings receiver has been fired by Fox Sports. Carter has not appeared on his normally scheduled ‘First Things First’ Show with Nick Wright in a week. Fox decided to terminate him before bringing him back.

From what I’ve gathered, Carter was upset that he never got a chance to be on the Thursday Night pregame show. They tape the show in Manhatten where they also tape First Things First. Fox opted to use Reggie Bush instead and Carter got pissed. They flew Bush all the way out from LA to do it when all Carter had to do was take a cab ride there. I guess there was no fall guy for this one. Fox suspended Cris and then fired him.
Carter has now been outed at ESPN and Fox Sports. Tell him to get a hold of me. Maybe, I’ll hire him unless there are details I’m not understanding. I’m not sure where Carter will go next. Fox has been known as the place to picks up all the fired ESPN castoffs. This may be it for Carter in the media world.
Fox Sports will now be tasked with finding a permanent replacement for First Things First. A show that goes on at 4 AM that nobody watches. It’s one of those shows that you never really see unless you’re super drunk and you haven’t fallen asleep yet. That’s how early that show is on. If there is one positive to being fired from Fox, it’s that Nick Wright’s nose won’t poke him from across the desk anymore.
