Colts Bench Anthony Richardson For Joe Flacco

It looks like the Colts listened to me. Indianapolis is making a quarterback change. Anthony Richardson has been benched and Joe Flacco is the new starter.

Adam Schefter of ESPN was the first to report the news:

A QB change for the Colts: Indianapolis is benching former first-round pick Anthony Richardson and turning to veteran Joe Flacco, sources tell @FowlerESPN and me. Coaches met this morning and made the seismic organizational decision to change QBs. pic.twitter.com/uqANJwOwr4

It had to be done. Through six starts, Richardson is completing 44% of his throws this season. It’s all-time bad stuff. Use any metric you want. He’s not just bad, we’re talking historically bad. The former Florida product also posts a 7-8 TD to INT ratio. Meanwhile, Joe Flacco is at 7-1 in significantly less playing time. You can’t argue against this change. It’s a matter of why wasn’t it done sooner.

The Colts Are Treating Anthony Richardson Like A Minor League Baseball Player

I said pretty much everything I needed to in the video.

It’s a joke anybody ranked Richardson QB5 in fantasy.

Joe Flacco gives the Colts the best chance to win and it’s not arguable.

Maybe now Shane Steichen can direct his attention to firing his butt buddy Gus Bradley so that the defense can become competent.

I can’t believe Chris Ballard hasn’t been burned at the stake for turning this team into a joke.

The nail in the coffin was probably the moment the dude checked himself out of the Texans game for being “tired”.

Soooooo Richardson doesn’t just suck, but also that he’s not in shape and lacks self-awareness too. Does that guy do anything right besides for jamming his head into a brick wall as a runner?
