CM Punk Reportedly Confronted By Major AEW Stars In Wake Of Shocking Presser Rant

CM Punk has been the center of controversy in AEW over the past couple of weeks. He has again made headlines following his world title win at AEW All Out. After the pay-per-view, AEW held a media scrum for some of the wrestlers to attend. During Punk’s time in the scrum, he made shocking remarks, taking shots at several AEW stars.

After his win in the main event of All Out, CM Punk answered some questions in the media scrum. Punk took shots at fellow AEW wrestlers, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks, along with former AEW wrestler, now ROH wrestler, Colt Cabana. Punk exposed his history with Cabana, including that he had been paying Cabana’s bills for quite some time. He also took shots at Hangman Page, Omega and the Young Bucks, all of whom are EVPs in AEW. Punk claimed that Page, Omega and the Bucks went into business for themselves and almost compromised all of AEW.

After Punks comments in the media scrum, Fightful Select reported that talent within the company informed them that Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks were “extremely pissed off” with what Punk said. It has also been reported by Fightful Select that Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks even went as far as to threaten to leave the company after Punk’s comments.

The Confrontation

While it hasn’t been confirmed, many media believed Omega and the Young Bucks were supposed to appear in the media scrum but didn’t after Punk’s comments. It’s been reported by Steven Muehlhausen that The Young Bucks confronted Punk after the media scrum. Furthermore, the altercation did get physical as Punk reportedly threw punches at one of the Young Bucks. Punk’s best friend, Ace Steel, was reportedly involved in the confrontation.

It has not been confirmed whether or not AEW will go as far as suspending CM Punk for his actions and comments. Although, if they do, it shouldn’t come as a surprise. AEW recently suspended Eddie Kingston after he allegedly threw a punch at Sammy Guevara backstage. CM Punk is likely to start a feud with MJF after he returned and won the casino ladder match. It will be interesting to see how AEW handles everything moving forward.
