Chris Ballard Once Again Admits He Sucks At His Job

Did you know Blake Bortles has won the AFC South more recently than Chris Ballard? It’s a stat I’m going to continue to use because we have to stop pretending this Ballard is really smart. The guy sucks and it’s not arguable.

I’ve been trying to tell you that for years. In fact, last year he even admitted that he was bad at his job. After another season of missing the playoffs, Ballard is once again admitting he sucks and continues to make egregious mistakes.

At his end of season presser, Ballard took accountability and openly admitted he botched the team-building approach again.

“Instead of really creating competition throughout and throwing new blood into the locker room, new players into the locker room, I said ‘you know what, we’re gonna run it back,’” Ballard said. “That was a mistake.”

You mean to tell me it was a bad idea to run it back with a mediocre roster, a trash QB who is better off playing tight end, a head coach who probably knows Chinese better than how to manage a game, and a defensive coordinator that couldn’t stop a nose bleed was a bad idea?

You don’t say…

Ballard also said the Colts are “not close” to being a real contender. Keep in mind, he’s been the GM of the Colts since the 2017 NFL Season. If you’re not close this many years later, why do you still have the job?

I feel bad for Colts fans. The owner is a drunk and the guy in charge of the roster has no clue what he’s doing. I have no idea how you run this thing back but as long as someone takes the keys away from Jim Irsay on the road, I guess it’s a good day in Indy.
