After starting a new spirit two years ago, the Las Vegas Raiders and Allegiant Stadium have come together with Charles Woodson’s Spirit Woodson Bourbon Whiskey, announcing its new partnership to become the official bourbon of the Raiders and Allegiant Stadium earlier this week.
“I used to jokingly say that Woodson Bourbon Whiskey was the official bourbon of Raider Nation but now I can say it with my chest. Woodson Bourbon Whiskey is the official bourbon of the Las Vegas Raiders and Allegiant Stadium,” said Woodson via release. “I want to thank Mark Davis, Sandra Douglass Morgan, the Raiders partnership team and the entire Raiders organization for giving Woodson Bourbon Whiskey the opportunity to be great! Go Raiders!”
Woodson spent 11 of his 18 NFL seasons with the Raiders. Oakland drafted Woodson in the fourth round of the 1998 NFL draft after he spent three seasons at Michigan. In his junior season, the Hall-of-Famer was awarded the Heisman Trophy, becoming the only defensive player ever to win the award.
“We are elated to partner with Charles Woodson and Woodson Whiskey,” said Las Vegas Raiders President Sandra Douglass Morgan. “Charles is a Raiders legend, and we’re looking forward to bringing Woodson Bourbon Whiskey to Raider Nation and our guests at Allegiant Stadium.”
Tying into the partnership, Woodson’s bourbon name will be branded across a stadium bar inside the Shift4 Club. Along with the branding, the bar will include two speciality cocktails featuring the Hall-of-Fame’s bourbon.
Of course, with drinking comes responsibility. Woodson is encouraging folks over the legal limit to drink responsibly when consuming his bourbon and other alcohol.
