Celebrate Barbie in the Pink Restaurant of New York City

There are many restaurants with a pink theme, but Pietra Nolita takes the cake for the cutest and pinkest dining experience. Located in Soho in a quaint little space slightly underground, Pietra Nolita serves Italian cuisine, specializing in pasta dishes, to many guests per night.

Right outside the restaurant is their outdoor seating which is also decorated top to bottom in pink. When you come inside, you’re taken into a small but cozy pink space with fewer seating spaces, making the experience all the more intimate and cute.

However, be careful because there wasn’t the best AC. It could get a little stuffy in there so dress accordingly. This is the perfect spot to dress up in pink, get wine drunk and eat some pink pasta with your friends before seeing the Barbie movie!

The Menu

Their menu ranges from breakfast to burgers and salmon. But the star of the show of course is your favorite classic pastas, such as bolognese dishes, cacio e pepe and spaghetti. There are also more unique dishes, such as the heart-shaped butternut squash ravioli. Of course, the appetizers are just as classic with the burrata, kale salad and more to complement the main courses.

You can pair every dish with a warm and doughy focaccia. However, the star of the show was neither the burrata or the buttery pasta dishes. Unexpectedly, it was the tiramisu. 

I’ve never been a fan and was upset that it was ordered. I reluctantly took a bite. In that immediate moment that the tiramisu entered my mouth I knew this was going to be a new favorite for me. It was the lightest dessert I’ve ever tried. It was airy and fresh and creamy. The chocolate was perfectly tempered and added the best bite to the dish. The flavors had an amazing balance of sweetness and tartness.

It was unlike any tiramisu I’ve ever had. Although I only prepared to take a reluctant bite, I ended up finishing the entire thing on top of my full stomach. It was the best decision.
