Following the Dallas Cowboys’ loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the playoffs, Dak Prescott faced heavy criticism. But star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has his quarterback’s back and doesn’t agree with the hate, according to PFT.
“I don’t think anyone deserves the criticism he gets. They are crazy, bro,” CeeDee Lamb said during a Wednesday appearance on PFT Live. “You’ve got to understand. It’s football. A lot of other people get paid to make plays. But the way that he gets talked about is crazy. It’s wild. I don’t think he deserves it.”
In the regular season, Prescott played just 12 games, throwing for 23 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. Prescott tied Texans quarterback Davis Mills for most interceptions in the regular season, but Prescott missed five more games. I can see why he was the subject of all the criticism this season, but Lamb does a great job backing him up.
“Just seeing how the media reacts to Dak is one of the funniest moments quite honestly,” Lamb said, via PFT Live. “I don’t say much, but I see a lot. I’ll watch how he plays. Of course, I’m there, but I go look at the media and everybody’s ‘Dak this; Dak that’ after a good game. It be crazy. And the next week I’ll see the same names. It’s a little weird to me.”
I like the idea of always defending your teammate and picking them up, but you have to hold them accountable at times. They will get it. I have had that same experience in many sports. But as a Cowboys fan, there is no defending Dak Prescott anymore, he is not the answer to the Cowboys problems.
