Cameron Jordan HATES Cleveland
If Cameron Jordan ever leaves the Saints, don’t expect him to wind up in Cleveland. Jordan wants you to know that he hates Cleveland and there isn’t a dollar amount high enough to get him to sign with the Browns. Jordan took a serious shot at the entire city of Cleveland on Twitter.
Can you blame him? Jordan, 33, has made over $100 million by playing in the NFL. It’s not like the guy is hurting for money. Jordan’s current deal with the Saints expires in 2024 as he will carry a $25 million cap hit next year. If New Orleans decides to move on given the rebuild that’s coming, Jordan would be very coveted on the market.
This isn’t the first or the last time someone has made these sort of comments about Cleveland. Deshaun Watson was never signing with the Browns until that guaranteed contract came through. Myles Garrett didn’t want to play for the Browns either. He didn’t request a trade but made it clear that he didn’t want to play for a cold weather team. Is Garrett really going to play there forever? It’s safe to say Jadeveon Clowney didn’t exactly enjoy his stay there either.
The biggest problem I have with the Browns is that their branding sucks. Who wants to put a poo poo bright orange helmet on while they were the gross brown jerseys. Who names their team ‘Browns’? Don’t care if it’s meant to honor someone. There isn’t a team name that’s worse in any sport than this one. Rebrand it and maybe players will start respecting them as a franchise. Cleveland Cats would be better than the atrocity they sport now.
