CAA Drops Haason Reddick As Client

Haason Reddick may go down as the most delusional hold out in NFL history and it somehow just got worse. Reddick continues to rack up fines by not reporting to the Jets. Now his agency has decided they’re done with Reddick too. CAA has announced they dropped Reddick as a client.

Adam Schefter of ESPN was the first to report the news:

It’s worth noting that CAA also represents Schefter so it’s safe to say assume where he got the information from. It’s CAA who is quitting on Reddick. Not the other way around.

The fines keep stacking up fro Reddick. He’s up to $4.75 million, and $791,666 each week he misses. If Reddick doesn’t report, his contract will just be moved to the 2025 NFL Season.

This Reddick thing is really a two part story:

This dude just ruined his whole career. Nobody is ever going to give Reddick a big pay day again. Which could have potentially been there if he had a big year this year with the Jets. Teams are always looking for edge rushers. If Reddick wants to come back, it’s going to have to be on a prove it deal first. With that in mind, would anybody be surprised if he just retires?

The Jets also handled this so poorly. They gave up a third round pick and got nothing out of the player while knowing he wanted a new contract. This should be the final nail in the coffin for Joe Douglas, who has been a trash GM since taking over the job.
