Buy Low Sell High: Week 7 Fantasy Football 2023

The draft and waiver wire are key to winning your fantasy football 2023 championships. But the ability to buy low and sell high is also a surefire way to take advantage of player’s highs and lows.

Last week, I told you to buy Jonathan Taylor before he went for 120 yards and a touchdown against a stout Cleveland Browns defense. Let’s hope we hit on a few players again this week.

Buy Low

Marquise Brown

Marquise Brown has had a strong start to the season for a surprisingly decent Cardinals offense. Josh Dobbs has been feeding Hollywood as Brown is Arizona’s top receiving option. The past two weeks, Brown has struggled to get anything going as he has finished with 34 and 49 yards, respectively.

Going forward, Hollywood will remain the top option in the passing game on a team that will throw the ball often. Furthermore, there are reports of Kyler Murray‘s return which will elevate the offense and Marquise’s Brown potential immensely.

Zay Flowers

Zay Flowers has the potential to be a league winner by season’s end, so buy him now. The electric rookie out of Boston College is the go-to receiver in Todd Monken’s offense. The importance of it being Todd Monken’s offense is that Zay Flowers gets plenty of deep shots in his system.

This past week, Flowers had four catches for 75 yards. As the rookie acclimates more to the NFL, he will become more trusted by Lamar Jackson and can really stand out. Rookie receivers tend to break out after their bye week. Post-bye week in Week 13 for the Ravens is when I expect Zay Flowers to put up incredible numbers.

Sell High

Darren Waller

Darren Waller had his breakout game on National Tight End Day. The newly acquired Giant finished the day with seven catches for 98 yards and a touchdown. However, this is unsustainable for several reasons. First off, the Giants offense is an absolute mess.

Through seven weeks, the Giants offense has tallied seven total touchdowns. Waller won’t see many opportunities on an offense that struggles to move the ball. Second, Washington has a bottom-tier defense that allows all opposing offenses to take advantage. Just a couple of weeks ago, D.J. Moore had a career day against Washington’s porous secondary. Take advantage and sell Darren Waller now.

George Pickens

George Pickens is an incredible talent. He makes plays downfield and catches everything. Against the Rams this week Pickens made big plays five catches for 107 yards.

However, the Steelers’ offense cannot be trusted.

It may seem like things are taking a turn coming out of their bye week as Pittsburgh took down the Rams, however, don’t be too sure. In the first three quarters, the Steelers offense had a mere 110 yards and 10 points, and those were scored because of T.J. Watt‘s interception that put the offense at the 10-yard line.

Don’t trust the Pittsburgh offense that has the second-least total yards and fourth-least points scored this season. Finally, Diontae Johnson finally returned from injury and is still coming into form. Johnson can very easily threaten Pickens for targets in a struggling offense.

Trading this year in fantasy football 2023 can make or break your season. Suppose you can take advantage of when to buy low or sell high on a player. In that case, you’ll be giving yourself a significantly better advantage as the season progresses, ideally to a fantasy football championship.
