Buy Low Sell High: Week 6 Fantasy Football 2023

The draft and waiver wire are key to winning your fantasy football 2023 championships. But the ability to buy low and sell high is also a surefire way to take advantage of player’s highs and lows.

Last week I told you to buy Chris Olave who had a solid outing, taking seven receptions for 96 yards. I also told you to sell DeAndre Hopkins and George Kittle, who had a single reception for 20 yards and a single reception for one yard respectively. Let’s see if this week’s buy low sell high list hits again.

Buy Low

Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor remains a frustrating running back to own despite making his season debut last week. After playing just 15 percent of snaps last week, Taylor ramped up to 43 percent of snaps this week. Moreover, Zack Moss continues to put up solid numbers, even with Taylor’s return. However, Zack Moss got most of the snaps in the fourth quarter against Jacksonville while the Colts were down by double digits. Moss will see fewer snaps as Taylor gets more in this offense. The Taylor owner is reeling, so you should take advantage. Especially, before Taylor garners a significantly high snap count considering his new contract extension.

Brandon Aiyuk

Brandon Aiyuk is a budding superstar and he has shown it so far this season. This past week, however, was a letdown for Aiyuk. Facing a buzzsaw of a Cleveland Browns defense, Aiyuk managed just four catches for 76 yards, but he left a ton on the field. Brock Purdy missed him on two balls and Aiyuk had two unfortunate drops. Without these miscues, Aiyuk would have had eight catches for at least 150 yards. Aiyuk won’t be cheap, but his value won’t be much lower at any point during the rest of the season.

Sell High

Garrett Wilson

Garrett Wilson had one of his better weeks finishing with eight catches for 90 yards. Wilson even saw 12 targets in this offense, showing that Zach Wilson wants to feed his top receiver. Unfortunately, Zach Wilson is still the quarterback in this offense. Also, the Jets faced a porous Philadelphia Eagles secondary this week, where all receivers managed to turn in big performances. As the season goes on, the Jets will rely on their suffocating defense and electric run game as Breece Hall gets more run. That means less opportunity for Garrett Wilson and the passing game going forward.

Jakobi Meyers

Jakobi Meyers has been a pleasant surprise all season. Through six weeks, Meyers had four touchdowns on the year despite missing week two with a concussion. That production continued against the Patriots as Meyers had four catches and a touchdown at halftime. However, after Jimmy Garoppolo left the game with a back injury, Meyers failed to see much more production in the second half. Pending Garoppolo’s health status, Meyers production will cease with Brian Hoyer at the helm.

Trading this year in fantasy football 2023 can make or break your season. Suppose you can take advantage of when to buy low or sell high on a player. In that case, you’ll be giving yourself a significantly better advantage as the season progresses, ideally to a fantasy football championship.
