Fantasy football in week 6 was fairly low scoring. We didn’t see many blow-ups or explosions like we have in past weeks. Based on last week’s buy low sell high list, Rhamondre Stevenson remains a sell as Damien Harris will be back sooner than later. Najee Harris found the end zone but he won’t be a consistent fantasy starter until after the Steelers’ bye week. Hopefully, you bought both Najee and Amon-Ra St. Brown as he comes back healthier after his respective bye week.
The tight end position in fantasy football 2022 is yet again a wasteland. Similarly George Kittle has had a horrendous start to the season. This past week was the only time he’s eclipsed 10 points but still buy him right now. The main issue was the 49ers’ lack of passing volume and keeping Kittle into block after Trent Williams went down in week 3. This week, San Francisco was down early against a poor Atlanta Falcons offense. Therefore, the passing volume followed. I expect that to remain given the defense being decimated by injuries so far this season. Not only that but Trent Williams is expected to return next week. This means more routes and more passes going forward for Geroge Kittle. Buy now.
After James Robinson got off to a hot start to the year, Travis Etienne has come along and established himself more and more every week. He is a favorite of Trevor Lawrence’s in the passing game, significantly more than Robinson. In fact, in the past three weeks, Etienne has outsnapped Robinson every game. This week against the Colts was the second straight week Etienne went for over 100-scrimmage yards. No matter the gamescript, Etienne will be involved, unlike Robinson. Going forward he will get more and do more with his touches. Travis Etienne is my favorite player on this week’s buy low sell high list.
Don’t buy into the fool’s gold. Juju Smith-Schuster is the easiest sell high this week. After a flukey 42-yard touchdown where the Bills’ defense missed tackles, Smith-Schuster otherwise had a middling day. Without that big play, he would’ve ended with 4 catches for 71 yards. Outside of Travis Kelce, every other pass catcher on the Chiefs is a dart throw on whether they perform week to week. I wouldn’t be surprised if Marquez Valdes-Scantling gets more receiving work next week. Juju hasn’t surpassed 6 catches once this year. Sell him now while there’s still value.
I know what I said earlier regarding the 49ers’ passing volume going forward. But that affects Geroge Kittle and Brandon Aiyuk more than Deebo. And accordingly, that means there will be more targets for the aforementioned players. Deebo Samuel’s rushing attempts have gone down significantly this year as he’s only gotten two carries every game in the past three weeks. He still has a solid floor with the schemed-up looks he gets, but the name value he carries right now far outweighs his actual value in fantasy football.
Trading this year in fantasy football 2022 can make or break your season. Suppose you can take advantage of when to buy low sell high on a player. In that case, you’ll be giving yourself a significantly better advantage as the season progresses, ideally to a fantasy football championship.
