Sports Media
What’s going on everybody, I am Garrett Burroughs writer for Vendetta Sports media. We are starting a mailbag where you, the readers, can reach out through our Twitter page before any and all UFC events and ask me your questions and I will answer them here! They don’t necessarily have to be about the upcoming vents, but all MMA questions in general. We have two good questions in this week, so let’s dive right into it, shall we?
This question comes from Adam, and to be honest my man, I have ZERO clue how this plays out. The first fight Conor sparked Dustin early and looked well on his way to being a future champion. I had picked Conor to come back and win the second fight but Poirier looked probably the best he has ever looked inside the octagon. Going into this trilogy fight, I think if we can have a fully focused Conor we can have a fight of the year candidate. I know how much people were saying he was focused before but his performance might have showed otherwise. But Dustin Poirier like I said looked the best he has ever looked and will only get better. If I had to pick a guy to lean on? It’s probably The Diamond in a FOTY war.
I am going to keep it a stack with you, I am not entirely sure what you meant by these MMA questions, so I am going to go with the best fight on this card and the best fight coming up. Without a doubt, the best fight on this card is Robert Whittaker x Kelvin Gastelum. Whittaker is looking to get back to title contention after being finished by Israel Adesanya, and Gastelum is looking to do the same. Both guys are clawing to get back to the top of the mountain and both have shown a willingness to stand and bang. Thus should be a barnburner and I absolutely cannot wait to watch it all unfold.
An upcoming fight to keep an eye on is Weili Zheng and Rose Namajunas at UFC 261 on April 24th for the Woman’s Strawweight Championship. Weili Zheng has been a monster since winning the championship, looking like an unstoppable force who can take any and all shots and keep moving. But Rose Namajunas is someone who can also deliver heavy shots but also take them. Rose is fighting for the first time since avenging her loss to Jessica Andrade back in May of 2019. Don’t get me wrong, Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal is somewhat intriguing, especially with all the trash talk going around. But this is arguably the best fight on this UFC Pay-Per-View and should have all the viewer’s attention.
These have been yall’s burning MMA questions! If you want to get your questions in for next time, be sure to follow us at the Twitter link from before and get them in!
