Brian Daboll Needs Therapy

Therapy, anger management, AA meetings, I don’t really care what happens. All I know is that Brian Daboll needs help and someone needs to start talking about it. If nobody is going to bring it up, I’ll do it. Frankly, I’m not sure why nobody is talking about it but it’s blatantly obvious that Daboll is losing it. Someone really needs to check on this guy.

Daboll, 48, has had a tough go of things this year. The Giants stink and currently sit at 1-5. I don’t think that’s even the story. The Giants paid Daniel Jones and it’s so obvious that Daboll wishes he had a time machine to fix the mistake.

Side note: I think it’s even funnier that Giants fans thought paying Jones was the right call. So comical this post is. Total fanboy answer. That writer is no longer here, by the way.

Anyway… back to Daboll.

I can’t be the only one noticing this. It started with the throwing of the iPad. Really funny because you could just tell how mad the guy was but it’s really about how it continued after.

If that was just a one time thing, I think that’s just something that happens in the heat of the moment. It’s what happened this week against the Bills. This guy is totally losing it on the sidelines in the loss to the Bills.

So the Giants botch that possession at the end of the first half. I don’t know if people caught the halftime interview with Melissa Stark, but it was crazy.

According to Stark, he replied, “Melissa, I am so sorry, my head is not in this. I cannot focus on any of this right now.”

Is this guy being serious? Can’t focus? Head not in this? You’re an NFL head coach, dude. Figure it out. If you can’t speak to the media at halftime time because you’re losing it, maybe you need to seek help before you have a heart attack.

Someone really needs to check on this guy. I’m not saying every NFL head coach has to act a certain way but this guy has no composure right now. The team has to notice that he’s a lunatic right now.

The bottom line is Daboll’s ego wrote checks he can’t cash. You were never going to win big with Daniel Jones. I think he gets it now. Trey would have never advised you to go down this road. Just know that. I hope better days are ahead for Daboll because I genuinely think he’s a very good head coach. Just worried about the guy is all.
