Breaking: Mavs Trade Luka Doncic To Lakers For Anthony Davis

I know what you’re thinking, this has to be a sick prank. Shams had to have been hacked, right? It does not appear to be the case, as at midnight Eastern we witnessed one of the biggest trades in NBA history take place, as the Dallas Mavericks are trading forward Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in a three-way deal, sending Anthony Davis to the Mavericks. Shams Charania first reported the news, not hacked by the way.

I mean, wow. Who would have ever guessed in the late hours of the night we would see one of the biggest blockbuster trades of all time take place? Luka Doncic helped lead the Dallas Mavericks team to an NBA Finals berth just eight months ago, and now he’s shipped out to Los Angeles. This trade makes absolutely no sense, but the pairing of LeBron James and Luka Doncic will certainly keep their playoff window and championship aspirations alive and well. However, that Lakers’ 2029 first-round pick could certainly be juicy.

Luka Doncic and Anthony Davis are being traded for one another, and it feels like a 2K you try when you load into franchise mode. It doesn’t feel real. I feel like we are waiting for the tweet from Shams saying that he was hacked, but other NBA insiders have come out saying that they are confirming he was not hacked. This is real ladies and gentlemen. The landscape of the NBA Western Conference has shifted, and this will be fascinating to follow, all the aftermath of what can only be described as one of the biggest trades in league history.
