Azareye’h Thomas 2025 NFL Draft Profile

Up next on the 2025 NFL Draft profile series. If you’re a fan of this player, I’m going to go over all of the reasons why you should probably change your mind. If I can’t talk you out of your stance, thank you for the click anyway, but at least stick around to see what I have to say. With that said, let’s get right to it.

NFL Draft Stock Report: Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3)

Thomas, 20, checks in at 6-foot-1, 197, and over 32 inch arms. Coming out of high school, Thomas, was a four star athlete during the 2022 cycle. That includes also being the 121st overall player and 17th ranked player in the state of Florida. The Niceville native spent all three years with the Seminoles.

Let me just start here. I admittedly didn’t watch a ton of FSU this past year, but I’m not sure how anyone could. The team was close to unwatchable from start to finish this year. Still, even going back to last year, I wasn’t overly impressed, and the opposing passer rating against was 89.2. Not exactly a great number. He showed some signs of improvement in 2024, but his predraft process was beyond stinky.

I thought he was terrible during the Senior Bowl. All of those links are there at the top. His Combine was brutal. He didn’t run either, and the long speed here looks to be lacking. Total back bender and doesn’t look quick in the short area game either.

I’m really not sure what the positives here are. Just two career picks. Has some length. Not great as a tackler either. I really don’t know what there is to be excited about beyond the potential to be something based on his measurables. I saw someone who was overly handsy at the Senior Bowl, and I’ll be shocked if he’s not a penalty machine at the next level.

Scouting is about eliminating, and Azareye’h Thomas is someone I’m totally crossing off my list. He’s a hard pass for me and simply doesn’t pass the smell test for all of the knee bend movement stuff I look for.
