Anthony Mantha to Washington Capitals, Jakub Vrana to Detroit

The Washington Capitals waited until the very last minute to acquire Anthony Mantha from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for Jakub Vrana, Richard Panik, a 2021 first-round pick, and a 2022 second-round pick.

Anthony Mantha has recorded 21 points (11G, 10A) this season with the Red Wings. During the 2019-2020 season, he ranked third on the team in goal with 16 and tied for third in assists with 22. He was selected 20th overall by Detroit in 2013. In all 302 career games with the Wings, he has tallied 194 points (95G, 99A).

Jakub Vrana has recorded 25 points (11G, 14A0 in 39 games this season with the Washington Capitals. He was drafted 13th overall in 2014 by Washington and since then he has recorded 76 goals and 81 assists. Richard Panik has tallied 3 goals and 6 assists in 36 games this season with the Capitals.
