Alex Grinch Is A Moron And Needs To Be Fired Immediately

This absolute idiot Alex Grinch doesn’t deserve a D-1 defensive coordinator job.

Did I come in a little too hot? Possibly. But it doesn’t change the fact that Alex Grinch is potentially doing the worst defensive coordinator job in the country. Grinch came over from Oklahoma along with Lincoln Riley, and it’s safe to say this has not worked in the slightest. Grinch should have been fired during the off-season for the horrific job he did last year, yet somehow kept his job and is somehow doing worse than he was a year prior. I don’t get it.

Just how bad has Alex Grinch been at USC? Let’s look at the stats this year alone:

• 32.6 PPG (#107 in the country)
• 420.9 YPG (#105 in the country)
• 5.7 yards per play (#81 in the country)
• 93.94% red zone scoring (#123 in the country)

Can we focus on that last statistic? This Alex Grinch defense has allowed scores ON ALMOST 95 PERCENT OF RED ZONE POSSESSIONS. There are 130 qualifying FBS teams in Division-I, and they are legit right at the bottom. These are embarrassing.

I know USC has never been the standard to which defenses have been held … but come on. This Grinch guy couldn’t stop the offenses Chickster deals with on a weekly basis. In the hundreds in points per game and yards per game should get any coach fired in FBS, I don’t care who you are.

Then we get to tonight. When the offense puts up 42 points, you expect them to win. NOPE. Not at USC! I can’t make this up. There was a goal-line possession tonight where Alex Grinch had what appeared to be five DBs out there. How on earth did Lincoln Riley see this and go, “Yeah, we have a good shot at a stop here.”

Grinch is a bozo who I am convinced does not know how to coach the defensive side of the ball. Defensive backs constantly playing off their receivers. Never enough presence up front. Poor tackling (a USC tradition but we press on). When does it end?

Should Caleb Williams Sit The Remainder Of The 2023 Season?

USC has failed Caleb Williams –one of the five best players to ever come out of the school and his career has been wasted thanks to the inadequacies of Alex Grinch. Grinch is not fit to be on the sidelines of any D-1 football game, and he should be fired tonight. Don’t bother getting back on the bus after the game. Grinch has been an embarrassment to that university and should be exiled from the college game altogether. Sorry about it.
